The Whitetail Club Winter Signature Event marks the start of a winter celebration. In tandem with McCall’s annual Winter Carnival, Whitetail Club members revel in the charm of our small town; local artisans and winter enthusiasts from around the state celebrate the joy of winter in a family-friendly environment. The carnival’s multitude of events range from the Opening Ceremony Fireworks, mesmerizing Local Snow Sculptures, and the famed Mardi Grass Parade.
After the carnival festivities come to an end, members return home to Whitetail Club for a private event. From renowned tribute bands like Super Diamond to Hollywood heavyweight comedian Jay Mohr, Whitetail Club’s stage has hosted some of the best in the business. 2023 was no different.
Straight from the mecca of magic, The Magic Castle in Los Angeles, California, Joseph Tran brought his famed act to McCall. The wondrous world of Whitetail Club was on full display with Tran’s astounding illusions, clever tricks, and mind-blogging performances. Known for his TV and film appearances like, ‘We Were Soldiers’ and ‘Scorpion,’ Tran became interested in magic at a young age.
After learning simple magician tricks enough to impress the local kids, his interest in fascinating illusions persisted, so much so that The Magic Castle extended him an invitation to their junior program. Befitting of a headliner from the City of Angles, Tran’s high-energy performance, quick-witted humor, and captivating magic garnered astonishment from our members and their guests.
The Winter Signature Event is our annual tradition to set the tone for the remainder of the year.
