Rooted in childhood memories centered around Payette Lake and McCall, owner Joe Scott set out to make a thriving, vital community for future generations when Whitetail Club came to fruition.

Whitetail Club is a family-friendly private club where you and yours can live lavishly in the Pacific Northwest. Our award-winning community was designed for our members to enjoy the beauty of Idaho. It’s equipped with an authentic McCall five-star spa, an 18-hole mountain golf course, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and more. But it was pivotal for us to create and build spaces dedicated to our junior members so they could feel at home, too.

From a fun-filled playground, a year-round heated saltwater pool, an inviting teen center, and a scenic catch-and-release pond, among other amenities, the biggest benefit we can provide all our members is our diverse location. Because honestly speaking, why spend so much time at a playground when McCall’s rugged terrain is just outside your door? Discover why Whitetail Club is the perfect place to raise your kids or grandkids.

Making a Splash

The saltwater pools at The Fish & Swim Club provide our junior members the ideal place to make a splash and beat the summer heat. Conveniently enough, it also serves as the ideal place to warm up during the winter with its heated feature. But why settle for a pool when you have full beach access at Whitetail Club?

As a Whitetail Club member, one of the most coveted amenities we offer is our lakefront clubhouse, which is steps away from Payette Lake, the most precious gem of McCall. Three hundred fifty feet of lakefront access is right at your service. Your kids or grandkids can build sandcastles on the sand. Lounge lakeside. Go for a swim. Or seek other adventures by acquiring a standup paddleboard or kayak from The Boathouse, our water-front hub.

Seeking a water activity for the entire family? Rent or charter a vessel from the Whitetail Club fleet. Equipped with a marina right off the edge of the clubhouse, the Whitetail Club marina is home to our members’ privately owned boats and our versatile fleet. Our lineup provides you with options to spare depending on how you and the family are trying to spend your day out on Payette Lake.

Paddleboarding in McCall

The Malibu lets you cut through the water as your kids follow behind on water skis. Relax underneath the warming sun on our pontoon boat. Or enjoy a leisurely day trip exploring over 4,900 square feet of Payette Lake on our Chris-Craft boat.

Gone Fishing

At the heart of Whitetail Club is The Fish & Swim Club, home to Betsy’s Pond. Fully stocked with trout, Betsy’s Pond allows you and the kiddos to enjoy catch-and-release fishing right from the shoreline. Yet, at times, catching and releasing doesn’t provide the same satisfaction as bringing home the catch of the day. Thankfully for you, McCall is home to glacier-formed lakes, elongated crystal-clear rivers, and the occasional pond or two, making it a secret haven for all anglers, regardless of age.

Cast your lines at local hot spots for a quick bite, including Louie Lake, Goose Lake, or North Fork of the Payette River. According to Idaho’s Fish Game and Rules & Regulations, any child under 14 isn’t required to have a license, making quality time with the young ones simple. However, acquiring a license isn’t complicated. With bass, steelhead, kokanee, and various trout species, having Whitetail Club as your home puts you in the middle of adventure.

Scaling Big

The Whitetail Club Park was created for kids to slide, climb, and roam freely. But what if we told you your kids could also climb, swing, slide, and roam freely in our surrounding environment?

Winter in McCall offers the perfect opportunity for kids to enjoy sliding fun. Whether at the Whitetail Club Sledding Hill or McCall’s famed Activity Barn, your kids can experience a thrilling downhill adventure on freshly groomed trails. All they need is a sledding tube.

McCall, Idaho, isn’t commonly known as a climbing hot spot. But because of its geographical location, the primary climbing surface you’ll encounter is granite, which is the best material to scale due to its friction and grip. If your kids or grandkids are a bit older, rather than tackling the playground, they can rock climb at The Thinking Spot. Idaho Mountain Guides provides a 2-day ultimate rock-climbing camp designed for beginners and intermediates, equipping them with knowledge and experience in various forms of climbing. Teach your kids how to reach new heights.

Regardless of the season, kids can always explore freely (under the supervision of a parent or guardian, of course) when you live in McCall. Lace-up their hiking boots or strap on their snowshoes and get ready to experience the best trails in McCall, as rated by AllTrails. With trails varying in difficulty, let the kids roam and interact with the stunning beauty of the Gem State. And on some dog-friendly trails, their loyal companions can accompany them as they step into adventure.

The amenities at Whitetail Club provide you and your family with an unparalleled experience. But we live by the saying, “Nature is our best playground.” It’s what makes living at Whitetail Club distinct from other communities. Come experience this life by booking a Discovery Tour and staying in our Discovery Cottages.
