After an extended winter, golf season is nearly upon us at Whitetail Club. Our expert crew is preparing our championship golf course for the highly-anticipated season opening on Friday, May 24th, just in time for our annual Season Opening Tournament on Saturday, May 25th.

This casual, fun-for-all tournament invites members and their guests of all skill level to head out onto Whitetail Club’s private, 18-hole, par-72 golf course as we celebrate the start of what’s sure to be another tremendous season.

Designed by Roger Packard and two-time U.S. Open winner Andy North, the Whitetail Club golf course serves as an important link in the Idaho Golf Trail. Following our kickoff tournament, members and their guests can look forward to a full lineup of events on these links through which they’ll enjoy the summer. These events include the wildly popular Ladies Member Guest, July 10-12; The Club Championship, July 20-21; our signature Men’s Invitational and Summer Concert, July 31-August 3; and the Whitetail Cup, August 10-11.

Those who prefer to perfect their swing before diving into one of our scheduled tournaments can do so at the 3,500-square-foot full-service Golf Shop & Grille, which aside from being a premium pro shop with a lounge, outdoor patio, locker rooms and restaurant, also features swing-training equipment and analysis tools. Alternatively, the driving range, putting greens and chipping greens offer another great option on which to refine their game.

As you may have heard, the rules of the game have changed effective January 1, 2019. That’s why aside from grooming our links for the action ahead, Eugene Bonfilio — our Whitetail Club PGA Professional — has prepared for the season by attended a USGA Rules workshop. This will aid us in better assisting our members and their guests with their game and the adaptations to these new rules. Have you brushed up on the new rules of the game? If not, feel free to visit the links below, which were curated by Eugene Bonfilio and shared with our membership.

With dramatic elevation changes that wind through towering ponderosa pines into open meadows, and over a trout pond to finish with dynamic views, the championship golf course at Whitetail Club is something every enthusiast should experience at least once in their lives.
