Summer Workout

Whitetail Club members are known for embracing adventurous pursuits in our four-season mountain community, and their thrill-seeking traits are supported by the health and fitness programs available within the property. With more than 1,300 acres at their disposal, outdoor pursuits are seemingly endless. Do you need a new summer workout routine?

Mission Fit-Possible launched here last year and became a smashing success among residents of all ages. Our custom-designed summer workout programs improve the cardiovascular system, stimulate weight loss and help build muscle. Because strengthening from the core is the only way to tackle the rugged terrain of Western Idaho.

Mission Fit-Possible covers all of the bases for the body and mind with a series of classes led by highly trained fitness experts:

Circuit Training

Our circuit training combines traditional callisthenics (body weight exercises) with innovative interval and strength training. Classes are held at the Indoor Tennis and Fitness Center three days a week throughout the summer. No matter your physical ability, the instructors will push your limits to achieve the results you need.


Expert tennis instruction for adults and teens (ages 16 and up with a rating of 2.5 or higher). This fun and fast-moving class includes a warmup, fun games and game play for both singles and doubles. It’s the perfect session for a player looking to hit balls, play a variety of competitors and have fun with fellow members. Tennis is held at the Indoor Tennis and Fitness Center twice a week.


Kids swimming classes encourage the youngest members of the Whitetail Club bunch to jump in the pool and learn techniques that will help them when it comes time to play on Payette Lake. Twice a week kids meet at The Fish & Swim Club to practice the basics or their individual medley strokes—freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly—depending on their age and experience.

Mountain Biking

Certified trail guides lead members through Whitetail Club’s 10 trails covering 10 miles of exciting terrain. These rides are designed to provide training that will challenge every rider and improve their ability with knowledge and techniques specific to the sport. Weekly morning sessions start at The Fish and Swim Club and head into the scenic courses featuring rolling meadow grades, open fields and patches of thick forest.


Back by popular demand, Sunday morning yoga classes led by a certified guru return to The Fish & Swim Club patio for all levels. This is a great way for members to slough off the tension of other high-impact activities (think mountain biking) and end the week on a blissful note.

Payette Lake

Members get to tear into every thrill Payette Lake has to offer: catamarans, pontoon boats, wakeboard boats, canoes, kayaks and more.

Our lakeside resort comes with a full-service marina for long summer days on the water. Jump aboard one of the vessels to go fishing, tubing or water skiing/wakeboarding. As you pass by Ponderosa State Park, the Salmon River Mountains in the background add extra depth as they tower over the lake and its 5,330 acres of glacial water. You can also glide across the lake via kayak and stand up paddle board! It’s eight miles long and two and a half miles wide so you can definitely get your workout for the day in while there. Paddles and life vests are always available.

Golf Course

Our award-winning golf course is an 18-hole, 7,200-yard expanse in the heart of Whitetail Club. Surrounded by Ponderosa pines, granite boulders and trout-filled ponds, it was recently named one of the best resort courses in the nation by Golfweek.


Whitetail Club Park is the perfect place to play with the whole family; it’s equipped with a basketball court, sand volleyball court and more.
